Here are 9 tips to help make your opinion sparkle with clarity, conviction and honesty

* Establish your knowledge of the artist by briefly describing their story…
* Tell your readers how they got to where they are now
* Demonstrate the fact that you want to know more or hear other versions
* Show you want to share your passion with the readers. Tell them how you really feel…
* Establish your credentials, prove you are able to judge perceptively because you have compared or contrasted similar works
* Have the courage to stay with your convictions … make statements that can be tested in hindsight
* Communicate vividly, use your senses to describe sounds. Think of tastes, smells, sights and textures
* Make clear assessments. When you give opinions make them simple and provide evidence
